"Evaluation of gas-liquid interface properties based on surface tension vibration measurements of isolated droplets" Boiler Research, Vol.448issue,11-16(2024)
[Summary of the Award-winning Paper]
We have developed a method for measuring the surface tension and viscosity of liquids without contact by observing the surface tension oscillation of microdroplets generated using the liquid bridge breaking method. Because we observe droplets floating in space, this method can eliminate the effects of wettability, surface roughness, and contamination due to contact with the probe, which were concerns with conventional measurement methods.
