Letter of Appreciation for Cooperation in the Development and Construction of a Battery-powered Sightseeing Boat
A battery-powered sightseeing boat in Mihama-machi, Fukushima Prefecture, which was developed and built in joint research by Project Professor Oide, Researcher Tsuzuki, and Researcher Tsuchiya of the Next-generation Battery-powered Ship Project, has entered service.
It is a pleasure boat that is powered by renewable energy, and utilizes the knowledge of the "Raicho" series, such as battery propulsion boats and fuel cell boats, which are being researched and developed at the university.On April 2023, 4, an opening ceremony was held at the Mihama Town Lake Center in Mihama Town, Fukui Prefecture, and a letter of appreciation was awarded for the contribution to this development.
The next-generation battery propulsion ship project is being researched and developed in collaboration with the Electric Power Laboratory, Power Energy Engineering Laboratory, Robotics Engineering Laboratory, etc. of the Faculty of Marine Engineering.
